About the Journal

Journal of Mathematics Education is an open-access journal that publishes high-quality research results in the field of mathematics education. The main focus of this journal is on studies related to Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) or high-level thinking skills. The themes raised cover various important aspects in mathematics education, such as ethnomathematics, which examines the relationship between culture and mathematical concepts; Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), which emphasizes contextual and meaningful learning; and mathematical abilities, which include cognitive, reasoning, and problem-solving aspects.
In addition, this journal also contains research related to the use of learning technology in mathematics education, as well as the design and development of innovative and applicable learning. Nuqthah is present as an academic forum for researchers, educators, and education practitioners to convey ideas and findings that can enrich the practice and theory of mathematics learning.
This journal is published by the Master of Mathematics Education Program, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, and can be freely accessed by anyone through an online platform. With a commitment to open access and the dissemination of knowledge, Nuqthah plays an active role in encouraging the advancement of mathematics education at both the national and international levels.
