KIMAP: KAJIAN ILMIAH ADMINISTRASI PUBLIK with registration number ISSN 2746-0460 (online) accepts scientific articles relevant to the field of public administration, whether in the form of empirical research, conceptual studies, policy analysis, or case studies. Authors are expected to follow the following guidelines so that the manuscript can be processed properly:

Manuscripts must be written following the prescribed format, using A4 paper (210x297 mm) with the following margin settings: left 25 mm, right 20 mm, top 30 mm, and bottom 20 mm. Articles are typed using the Microsoft Word programme, using the Bar font, 12 pt size, 1.5 spacing, and are approximately 6,000-7,000 words in length, including figures, tables, and references.

Each manuscript will be checked for originality and must not contain plagiarism (maximum 15%). The editorial team will immediately reject manuscripts that are indicated to contain plagiarism, and we use plagiarism detection software to ensure the originality of the manuscript.

Manuscripts that have been prepared in accordance with the writing guidelines should be submitted via the KIMAP Submission System (https://journal.unismuh.ac.id/index.php/kimap). Authors must register as users before submitting the manuscript by selecting the role of author or reviewer. Article guidelines and templates are available in MS Word (.doc) format and can be downloaded from the journal portal.

Manuscripts that do not comply with the writing guidelines will be returned to the author prior to the review stage. The manuscript structure should contain the following elements:

a)     Article Title (12 words maximum)

• The title of the article should be informative, concise, and clear and should not contain ambiguity. The title should reflect the main issues addressed in the article and be appropriate to the scope of the journal. The first word in the title should be capitalised and arranged symmetrically. Unusual abbreviations should be avoided. The main idea should be presented first, followed by a relevant explanation. The title of the article is written in a maximum of 12 words, using a font size of 14 pt, bolded, and formatted centre-aligned.
• Written in Indonesian and English.

b)     Author Name

The author's name is written in full without academic degree.

c)     Author's Institutional Affiliation

Affiliations include institution name, email address of correspondence author and country.

d)     Abstract (200-250 words)

The abstract is written in Indonesian and English (minimum 200 and maximum 250 words). The abstract includes research objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions. Completed with 3-5 keywords that reflect the content of the article.

e)     Keywords (3-5 Keywords)

Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of five keywords. Avoid general or plural terms and multiple concepts (e.g., avoid using 'and', 'of'). Use abbreviations sparingly—only those that are well-established in the field should be included. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes.

f)     Introduction

The introduction should contain (sequentially and in order) the general background and literature review (state of the art), novelty as the basis for the new research question, the statement of the new scientific article, the main research problem, and the hypothesis. At the end of the introduction, the purpose of the article should be stated. These objectives must be included in the literature review to demonstrate the novelty of the scientific article. Can include a review of relevant literature to support the argument.

g)     Research Methods

Make sure that work can be repeated according to the details provided. It contains the technical information of the study presented clearly. Therefore, readers can conduct research based on the techniques presented. Tools and application specifications are necessary. Approaches or procedures of study, together with data analysis methods, must be presented. Explain using Sub: Instrument, Data Collection, and Data Analysis.

h)    Results and Discussion

Present research findings with clear and systematic analyses. Results may be accompanied by tables, graphs, or images to clarify the data. The discussion relates the results to theory or previous research.

i)      Conclusion

Conclusions should be withdrawn on the basis of research findings, formulated concerns, and research purposes. The conclusion is presented in one paragraph without a numerical form of expression. Explain your research contributions to the field.

j)     Acknowledgements (Optional)

Contributors who are not mentioned as authors should be acknowledged, and their particular contribution should be described. All sources of funding for the work must be acknowledged; both the research funder and the grant number (if applicable) should be given for each source of funds.

k)     Bibliography

Use APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition citation style. It is recommended to use recent references (at least 80% of references within the last 10 years). All sources cited in the text must be listed in the bibliography.

In the discussion section (Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion), subheadings are not numbered and should be written in italics. Subheadings should be aligned to the left without underlining. Lower-level subheadings are written in italics, using a capital letter format, left alignment, and a two-level numbering system.

Foreign language words or technical terms that are not commonly used should be written in italic format. Each paragraph should be indented 10 mm from the left margin, with no additional space between paragraphs. Numbers should be written in Arabic numeral format (1, 2, 3, etc.), except at the beginning of a sentence.

Tables and figures should be placed after the paragraph that refers to them. Figures must have a title and source (Figure Caption) placed below the figure and numbered in numeric format. Tables must have a title (Table Description) above the table, and a source listed below the table. All tables and figures must print well in black and white format, with high resolution and clear fonts.

Tables should not contain vertical lines, and horizontal lines should only be used to distinguish important sections. All figures, tables, and graphs should be placed in the centre of the page. If they are large, tables or figures may be placed on a full page to maintain readability.
