UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR FISIKA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DIRECT INSTRUCTION PADA SISWA KELAS VIIIA SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 5 MARISO MAKASSAR

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Fisika pada siswa kelas VIIIA SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Mariso melalui pembelajaran Direct Instruction pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2010/2011 dengan jumlah siswa 38 orang. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dengan 2 siklus, siklus I terdiri 4 pertemuan dan siklus II terdiri dari 4 pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda pada setiap akhir siklus sesuai dengan materi yang diajarkan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa, secara kualitatif terjadi beberapa perubahan. siswa menunjukan sikap antusias untuk mengikuti pelajaran, keberanian menyampaikan pendapat, tanggapan, bertanya mengenai materi yang belum dimengerti menjadi meningkat. Sedangkan secara kuantitatif, terjadi peningkatan skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa Kelas VIIIA SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Mariso yaitu dari kategori sedang dengan skor rata-rata 61,47 setelah pelaksanaan tindakan Siklus I menjadi kategori tinggi dengan skor rata-rata 72,37 setelah pelaksanaan Siklus II. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan diterapkannya pembelajaran Direct Instruction pada siswa Kelas VIIIA SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Mariso dalam proses pembelajaran, maka hasil belajar fisika, kehadiran, kesiapan dan keaktifan siswa dapat meningkat.

This research is a classroom action research (classroom action research) that aims to improve student learning outcomes in physics class VIIIA SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Mariso through Direct Instruction teaching in semester academic year 2010/2011 the number of students 38. Action research was conducted with a 2 cycle, 4 cycle I made up a meeting and the second cycle consists of 4 meetings. The data collection technique is to use the observation sheet and a multiple choice test at the end of each cycle in accordance with the material being taught. Based on the analysis of the data obtained it can be concluded that, qualitatively there are some changes. students showed enthusiasm to attend classes, boldness of expression, feedback, ask questions about material that has not been understood to be increasing. While quantifiable increase in the average score of student learning outcomes VIIIA class SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Mariso is from category with an average score of 61.47 after the implementation of the action cycle I become a high category with an average score of 72.37 after the implementation of the Cycle II. From these results it can be concluded that with the implementation of Direct Instruction on student learning VIIIA class SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Mariso in the learning process, the results of studying physics, attendance, preparedness and student activity can be increased.
